Our trips will run in light rain or other moderate weather conditions. However, if there is severe or unsafe weather conditions and we have to cancel, you will be allowed to reschedule your tickets or receive credit for a future event.
No. Our number 1 priority is safety. In the case of cancellation due to severe weather, we will give you a credit or you can reschedule your fishing trip.
We love children and they are more than welcome to attend the fishing trip! We recommend our charter fishing trips for those 7 years of age and up. Please keep in mind, all charter boat attendees must have a full-priced ticket, regardless of age.

We have a variety of different fishing trips available including, rock fishing (bottom fishing), crabbing, salmon, tuna, and halibut. We will be adding steelhead and bass soon. Check our calendar for details on each trip.
Types of fish caught include: Rock Fish (all types), Lingcod, Green Ling, Perch, Sea Bass, Vermilion, and Cabazon. The fishing is good right now and nice size Lingcod are being caught.
Limits are 5 rock fish and 2 ling cod.
Bait is placed in a crab pot about 30” wide, and attached to a rope and buoy marker, then lowered to the bottom of the ocean in about 30’- 45’ of water near shore.
Oregon limit is 12 Dungeness crab and 24 red rock crab per person, and an Oregon shell fish license is required. It can be purchased at the same time you purchase a fishing license.
Guests will fish for 4-5 hours on average.
It takes about 20-25 minutes to cross the bar onto the ocean and arrive at our fishing locations.
We will go from 1 to 3 miles out (West), and 5-10 miles South. We fish anywhere from 60 to 175 feet deep.

Yes, in the spring you will see whales migrating. There are sea birds, dolphins, porpoises, sea lions, jellyfish, and bait balls. Because we’re in a commercial port, you will see big ships, tug boats and other vessels leaving and returning to port.
No, as there will be no food served on board, we recommend you bring the food you like with you. Feel free to bring a small ice chest with you!

There will be water and available on board, and please bring any additional beverages you’d like with you. Note that alcohol is fine to bring, but we ask that it be used in moderation.
Because we are an exclusive private charter, we limit the number of guests to 6 plus 2-3 crew members. Our 30’ Kingfisher/Costal Express is brand new in 2016, and provides 10’ of open deck space behind the cabin which provides plenty of room for a great fishing experience.

It is best to stay out on deck and keep the fresh air around you. If you are particularly prone to seasickness, we advise taking preventative measures beforehand. We will bring you back to the dock if requested, but there are no refunds.
Please dress warmly, with comfortable shoes. A warm hat and gloves are also nice to bring along just in case.
